You’ve seen the tutorials all over the internet for singed flowers, right? Like this one. Or this one. Or this one.
I’m not going to talk much about that part, other than to say that if you’re going to do as much singe-ing as my neighbor Jami and I did you’ll want to light a candle and leave it burning instead of using a lighter.

So I have now made 7 and my candle has about melted away to nothing. I do love them though and am having a sisterly shirt making night tonight. Pop in if you get done with your spray painting party at your house.
Was in Ann Taylor today, and they want way too much money for similar shirts with roses and pearl embellishments. Keep up the great inspiration, I love making rather than paying!

Wash inside out and lay flat to dry.
You *might* be able to put in the dryer on low, but I didn't try it so I'm not recommending it.

I just found a tutorial for the singed flowers and thought about applying them to some shirts, but wondered about the washing? Thanks for the washing/drying tip.

My machine has a setting to sew on buttons. I used that stitch (without a button) to tack them down. My neighbor Jami just stitched back and forth a few times in the middle of each one.
