I used to work in an office with a window in the door and I hated being gawked at. Why did people do that? Did they think they'd catch me pole dancing or something? My solution, less effective than yours (but then I shared the office) was a large flower-laden wreath on the door. I fashioned it out of a large wicker tray so there was no hole in the middle. At least it made it harder to peek. Your idea is much more masculine/professional looking. And cheaper than buying new flowers for each season.
