Pardon the North Pole making interruption…

I know I promised more of my opinions on the new Silhouette Cameo ($299 for the machine and your choice of starter kid using code CRAP through the 31st) yesterday, and they’re coming.  I’m done cutting, but I didn’t get to the picture part.  If you follow along on Facebook, you’ve already heard this.  If not, here’s the short version:

Keller’s football team had a trunk or treat last night, and I decided to force my little boys to wear last year’s costumes and decorate our trunk all Christmas-y and hand out candy canes.  Because I have a tendency to go overboard with stuff like this, we suddenly NEEDED a North Pole.  I made a quick stop at Lowe’s for some PVC pipe and Michael’s for colored Duck Tape and we were in business.  Throw in a canning jar ring, a Styrofoam ball, and some old grocery bags and you’ve got this:

Add a board from the garage, some craft paint, and some vinyl lettering and you’ve got this:

Let’s not mention the part where I hacked up a pool noodle with a bread knife and used a broken broom handle and more duct tape to get that baby to stand up straight…

So, I promise I’ll get to my other project a little later today.  In the mean time, don’t forget to enter to win $40 of Scentsy from my pal Emily (go here).  And then, head on over to the SNAP! site to send some love to sweet Ashley from Lil Blue Boo.  She’s been through the wringer this year.  Ashley is one of the most lovely people I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet.

Be back soon!

  1. THose costumes are so great you should make them wear them EVERY YEAR until they absolutely just don’t fit any more…then make them wear them one more time!

  2. You are an awesome all out mom! I bet your kids LOVE you! Keep up the good work! :)

  3. More and more I’m just not a fan of Halloween, but I LOVE this! Something happy!

  4. Freakin’ awesome. Way too cute. I might have to break down and figure a way to make our North Pole stay upright this winter. So how did you bribe the kids into this action?

  5. I LOVE the little Buddie the Elf costume! You can get double duty out of all this get-up! Good thinkin’!

  6. well, you HAD to milk those costumes while they fit them, right? they’re awesome.
and the kids look THRILLED. ;) what is macy wearing?

  7. I am so glad to see those darling costumes!!!!

  8. Even though these vehicles may be unworthy,
there are a lot of companies that will pay cash for
junk cars. They’ll try to escape in that big van, so
we need to shut them down. The authors found that most millionaires went to public schools -.

  9. If your car is crashed even if you only have
body damage many times the insurance agency
will declare your car “totaled” and the car will go the junk yard.
Purchasing aftermarket parts helps reduce the need of manufacturing new spare parts.
By selling the various components of a car a scrap yard owner can generate a
substantial amount of money on an otherwise useless vehicle.

  10. If it’s an alloy wheel, it will not corrode but if it is not, corrosion will take
place. What I can state is that I felt comfortable in dealing with the organization that I went through to donate my car.
A number of people are looking for funds for unhealthy cars
that they can’t often sell or maybe easily remove.

  11. Your insurance company must also be informed of the color change.
If you have misplaced this extender, just spray your key liberally and turn it in the stiff lock several times.
You don’t have to get into many formalities and details to get your
vehicle disposed off via these companies.
