It’s March 1st

And what happened with Google Friend Connect?

Well, it’s still there.

Does it still work?

Don’t know.

Can new people join?

Also don’t know.

This sort of feels like that whole Y2K thing.

  1. Works for me! (But I am on Blogspot. Is that why?)

  2. I still see it, too! I hope it stays this way! :) I love seeing you in my feed!

  3. Well I just added myself and it counted me. Liars.

      I feel so betrayed.

Drove past your house the other day. Decided we need to have lunch or something.

  4. It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

  5. I’m just laughing. I love you Char! Ha ha!

  6. Google said they were pulling GFC from all non-blogger sites as of March 1st. They want people to merge over to a Google+ page and hangouts and the like. Frustrating, but I guess they get to do whatever they want because it’s google! :)

  7. That’s what I thought too… I was kind of expecting it to fall off the planet or something… But it didn’t. And life goes on.

  8. Well, March 1st isn’t over yet… Ha! :-)

  9. Funny. I love that you’ve compared it to Y2K.

  10. I still see all my feeds! Will try to see if I can join someone.

  11. This post had me cracking up – it is so true!

  12. I think I read somewhere that all the changes would be rolling out…it wouldn’t be the first time they were behind schedule. They are also in trouble in EU because the merging of their privacy policy breaks some laws there. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are distracted by that.

  13. I was able to unsubscribe and then resubscribe with no problem…
I hope GFC doesn’t go away. I follow a ton of blogs using GFC!

  14. Lorie’s right, it’s all over the news here about them breaking EU regulations. The advice the news gave was ‘just don’t use it’ urm, ok then!

Anyway, it’s March 2nd 11:14am here right now and GFC is still on your blog.

I feel betrayed too because for once I was prepared and added you to my bloglovin’ reader!

  15. hahaha that’s just what I thought!!

  16. I was just wondering the same thing!

  17. Yeah, what Laura said. Google announced you have to be part of the Google family of products to use GFC, so it stopped working on non-Blogger blogs and for people who Friend you with other than a Google account. Kindof exclusionary, if you ask me, and not in the spirit of sharing. Pffth.

  18. Google’s turning into the next Microsoft :( I follow blogs on bloglovin’ now! :)

  19. Mine disappeared from my site today (cry!!!!!!!) So confusing :( Ahhh <– me running around in chaos!

  20. Hi there, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
