Way back when, this blog had like 30 readers. And they were pretty much all people I knew, except for Kari.

In May of 2009, my brother and his wife came to visit and announced they were expecting. Her family threw a shower while she was here. I knew her gift needed to be easily packed in a suitcase for the plane ride home. So, I got her a Costco membership. And, I decided to make her a little something to open as well….a onesie with ruffles on the butt.

Since I had this little craft blog, I took a few pictures and posted them and thought that was the end of it.

Until I got an email from Kari.

She wanted me to be her first Creative Guest. And she wanted the onesie. It was the only one I’d ever made, and I didn’t think it was that great. I offered something else. She wanted the onesie.

She got it. And the rest is history.

I’m so excited to be celebrating with Char. To share the joy of her 1,000,000th hit we are giving away one 8″x10″ print from my shop to two lucky readers.

A little about myself and my shop. My name is Tricia Jones. I have an oh so adorable little boy and an equally adorable husband. I love to make things whether it be with a sewing machine, a paintbrush, or a hot glue gun (which is one reason I love Char’s blog). I’ve told my husband that when we pay for craft supplies we are really paying for my therapy, because making things keeps sane. The results of my craft therapy can be seen on my blog Leafy Treetop Spot.

Okay now back to my shop, and more importantly back to the giveaway. I offer several prints of my original paintings for sale at my Etsy shop – Leafy Treetop Shop. In my shop you will find a variety of bright and cheerful prints. Most of them depict animals in one form or another. There is a pattern on the morsbags website if you want to make your own. The bags I’m giving away are the last two made from one of my favorite thrifted sheets. I think it’s pretty economical and environmentally friendly when you can make 8 reusable grocery bags out of a sheet purchased for 99 cents. (And I’m pretty proud of myself for only keeping one and giving the rest away!)
