Teeny tiny baby shoes

My friend Kathy made some of these for her baby a few weeks back out of a thrifted purse. I’ve been obsessively checking thrift stores for purses ever since. This weekend it hit me…DUH!

My old leather coat got cut up to make some shoes for my new (still nameless) niece.

I bought the pattern from this Etsy seller. It’s the Basic Booties for Babies and Dolls pattern.

Next on the chopping block? The tan leather skirt I wore the first time Sheri and I met.

(Yes, really.)

those are SO cute!! but what the heck is up with the baby naming? are they still waiting to be inspired? because i would say that time is passed. just name her the name you hate the least and move on. the poor kid is going to be scarred for life!

I emailed you a while ago about where you buy your "johnny's garlic" – I haven't been able to find it here – so I finally broke down and bought some on-line. I can't wait to try your potatoes!!

When Joseph was on his mission there was this family who had not named their baby after he had been there for four months. Every fast Sunday the bishop would say, "Well, the Smith family has postponed their baby blessing…again…they still can't come up with a name." But, that was in the backwoods of Canada where they don't have sunlight on a regular basis. :)

  10. I think I need a grandbaby for you to sew for. Those shoes are adorable. Tyler actually told me that we need to move back to Utah so they can have a baby, and I can babysit.

I love them! And good idea on the jacket. I bought a black leather one at a garage sale for $3 about 3 weeks ago and still haven't gotten to it! My baby needs black shoes too!
