Giveaway: The Pleated Poppy

Meet Lindsey from The Pleated Poppy. She blogs here, but that’s not even the best part! She also makes all sorts of ruffle-y flowery goodness. Don’t believe me?

Those are checkbook covers. I’ve had making one on my to-do list for so long it’s not even funny. (And by “so long” I mean “almost 2 years”…which is when my sister gave me a FABULOUS wallet for Christmas that I still haven’t used on account of needing a checkbook for all things school/kid related.)

Need somewhere to put that checkbook cover? Check out her bloom bags.

She’s got flowers for hair:

And flowers for just about anywhere:

You really need to pop over to her shop and take a look because every single thing is my favorite.

I don’t actually write in a notebook or a journal, but I bet I would if I had this.

What’s in it for you?

Lindsey is giving away a $25 gift certificate to one lucky Crap I’ve Made reader.

Click on over to The Pleated Poppy shop and have a look around. Come back and leave a comment ON THIS POST saying what you’d use your gift certificate on.

  1. I follow the pleated poppy. I even take pictures {somedays} for what I wore. Now I just actually need to post them!!

  2. I really need a bloom bag. I do. Really.

  3. P.S. I love dressing up for Halloween! :) I wish we could do the whole family dress up as a theme thing — but both my hubs and my son (7) think I'm totally lame. :(

  4. The bloom bags are gorgeous.

  5. I like the pleated poppy on FB!

  6. I follow the pleated poppy blog!

  7. Personally, I don't dress up for Halloween and haven't since I was about six or seven years old. Now that I have children, I'm not opposed to dressing up as a family, but don't hold your breath to find me in a costume, lol!

  8. I think I'd choose a zippered pouch… the one with the retro cars is fabulous. Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. I'm excited about dressing up this year. Since having kids, it's so much more exciting!

  10. This is a tough choice. Ideally I'd want a bag for myself but after looking at this etsy shop I might actually have to start holiday shopping for my family.

  11. I love the bloom bags, and the petal pushers!

  12. I love the sunglasses case and mine is totally beat up, so that is what I would get!

  13. I like Pleated Poppy on FB!

  23. I would get a notebook cover for my daughter who journals all the time. I think it is fun when adults dress up for Halloween. I don't do much with Halloween, just not a holiday for me. But… i love winter and Christmas!

  24. Summer Lee says:

I do believe I'd be using that giftcard on a covered notebook!! specifically number 98 or 102. I am a gal of many lists and this would just make them so much more fun!!

  70. I love everything at the pleated poppy! I have a thing about handmade flowers so that would be my fav!

  71. I am a brand new follower of the pleated poppy!

  72. I always enjoyed dressing up for Halloween as a kid, and to be honest, if I had more time now, I'd like to dress up to answer the door on Halloween night. But all my energy gets taken up in creating costumes for my little ones. They're only 1 and 4 years old now, but as they get older, I want to get them in the habit of using their imaginations and repurposing things that we have around the house to create their own costumes as opposed to going out and buying ready-made. Fostering creativity and a sense of craft, I guess you'd say. Anyways, I love dressing up, I just never get the chance anymore.

  73. I LIKE the pleated poppy on FACEBOOK!

  116. Oh I love her blog. i'm already a follower!

  117. It depends on the costume. I can't stand dressing up for Halloween unless it's subtle. Like last year I went as Rogue from X-men. All I wore was gloves, a long jacket, scarf, a dog-tag, and a little white hair spray in the front. My husband went as Sabertooth. His outfit was similar – a long trenchcoat, dog-tags, and he bought some realistic looking fangs. And voila! It was the first time we dressed up since we got married – 9 years ago … normally we're the ones mocking the other adults who dress up. But I do have to say, it was pretty fun.

  118. I love her pins/corsages!

  119. I liked her on FB! great giveaway Char – thanks!

  128. And to answer your question – about grownups dressing up for Halloween… We're going to a costume party this year. It's only our 3rd time EVER dressing up. First time was before we had kids and we went as Men in Black (boy that dates me). Second time was last year, and was our first year invited to this annual costume party. I was Marie Antoinette and Andrew was a king (by the tiem I was done with my costume I didn't really care how he looked, lol). This year we are going as an angel and a devil. Which one do you think I will be??? Lol. I'm not into the family themed costumes, but I like to have fun dressing up with Andrew.

  130. I love the bags, so cute!!

  131. I think it's cute when a family does a theme and all dress up, but I personally don't like dressing up for Halloween so I don't see the need for all the fuss. :D Path of least resistance for me!

  157. I'm all for adults dressing up for Halloween…however, I must say I only like it if it's not racy or obscene. I don't want to see any sexy nurses running around my neighborhood. Maybe for an adults only party that would be appropriate, but not around kids. My husband and I dressed up as the Flintstones when we only had our first daughter. We went trick-or-treating with our friends who went as the Rubbles with their son who was about the same age as our daughter. We got TONS of complements! :)
