The nice folks at Silhouette sent me some fabric interfacing to play with this month.
And, since we’re back in the thick of football season,
I decided that Keller needed a new pillow for the reading chair in his room.
The pillow cover came from Dollar Tree. I had never seen them before and have never seen them since, but that one day….it was magical.
I cut out a helmet shape (from the Silhouette Online Store) on some navy fabric backed with the sewable fabric interfacing with my CAMEO.
Then, I traced the high school logo in the Silhouette Studio software
and cut it out of green flocked heat transfer.
I ironed the helmet to the pillow cover and then the logo to the helmet and stitched the helmet to the pillow cover.
Result?
Cute, right?
Wait. You don’t call boy stuff cute.
Tough, right?
And, just a reminder that Tuesday the 31st is the last day to take advantage of the currently Silhouette promotion:
Go HERE and use code “CRAP” to take advantage of either deal.
Some of you have emailed about the fabric blades showing as not available…that’s just the single ones for now. They are DEFINITELY still available in the bundles.
That is cute but how did you trace the logo in the software? I dont think I have seen a video over that
So I am a total dork and I saw the title with the first picture and my thought was…”that would be one uncomfortable pillow…” glad I kept reading! I really like the idea now!
Your pillow turned out really cute.. yes, you’re right, not supposed to say “cute” for boys stuff, but it is!!
I got a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas this past year from my hubby and have only used it once. I am so intimidated by it that it just sits there. I ordered some of the sewable interfacing too, hoping that would jump start me, but no luck. I’m thinking I will sell it, so if anyone out there is interested, drop me an e-mail ([email protected]) with silhouette in the subject line.
I am upset that when I ordered the $29.99 package and used the CRAP code and it still charged me the full price.. What is the problem? I love your pillow and thanks for sharing.
Shirley, Call customer service and ask! They’re usually REALLY helpful. If that doesn’t work, shoot me an email and I’ll see if I can do anything about it.
